BIPOC Arts Show “Re-Up” Kicks Off Its Premiere at OBJX Studios

The “Re-Up” Adds Raw Colour and Fresh Sound to the Toronto Arts Scene

The “Re-Up” artist showcase and live party kicked off its inaugural event launch on Friday December 10th, hosting a night of live music and art at OBJX Studios in Toronto’s Stockyard district.

The party was the first of a quarterly celebration circuit focused on highlighting young BIPOC singers, songwriters, producers, and performers with artisanal vendors.

Studio 145 Cooperative is a recording studio and cooperative learning space that supports artists, entrepreneurs, and community initiatives across the GTHA. They provide space, workshops, programs, and event curation to celebrate artistic talent and independent creativity of young leaders.

A number of Studio 145 Cooperative artists performed new music, as well as guest artists held intimate sets for a ticketed crowd in the beautifully rustic and industrial chic warehouse event space at OBJX. Following these performances, underground live band and DJ troupe Bitter&Broke provided soulful melodies, and the night was wrapped up in style by a surprise set from Mississauga’s very own Fame Holiday!

2022 memberships with Studio 145 Cooperative are available today and OBJX Studios continues to host community-focused arts events and workshops for young creators across the city.
